Talking about the Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in Heritage Institute of Technology, the total students in this branch are about 60. Ideally, you should gain some work experience. You can also opt for an MBA right after your graduation but it won't be recommended as MBA, as a course, is designed for students who have some amount of work experience. If you're planning to apply now, give yourself enough time to prepare for the necessary exams (eg. CAT in India, GMAT for universities abroad).

Aiswarya,
Your stream in engineering should not impact your decision of which stream to study in MBA. You should try to figure out:
1) What exactly will you study in MBA in different fields like finance, marketing, HR, IT, etc?
2) What kind of jobs are you likely to land once you take up these specializations?
Based on 1 & 2 above, see if what interests you more. Moreover, in the best MBA schools, your first year will be a common curriculum, which will give you a chance to understand more about these specializations and you can decide accordingly for your second year specializations.
