Council of Architecture which registers Architects says B.Arch is the only course to become an Architect and get a registration number to practice or to work in an Architectural Firm. An Architect is a technical person with technical knowhow. To become an Architect the council of Architecture guidelines says: Only candidates who have the following credentials shall be eligible for admission to B.Arch. Course. I. The council of architecture guidelines says: Only candidates who have the following credentials shall be eligible for admission to B.Arch. Course. I. Qualified through the recognized aptitude test in Architecture NATA or equivalent)
ii. Have gone through any of the following curriculum with marks as prescribed below: (a) Secured 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level examination. Starting Salary of an architect is around 2 - 2.5LPA.

The average salary for an architect, after he passes out, maybe around INR. 2-2.5 LPA. With 5 years of experience, the average salary for an architect would be around 6-6.5 LPA. As the experience increases the salary also increases. The Architecture industry in special has grown in terms of salaries in the past decade.

Hi,
You can get registered with Council of Architecture which is the only nodal body for Architects as soon as you complete your B.Arch Degree. Council of Architecture does not recognize a 3 year B.Sc Degree, and according to council rules there is no option for B.Sc Degree and hence no registration would be granted.
