Yes, technically one can do both – become both an architect and structural engineer since the two professions are not mutually exclusive. However, it's not so common but still you need to consider following points:Different skill sets: Structural engineers and architects, though the two work jointly in designing buildings, have different tasks to perform. While architects are concerned with how the entire project looks like, the functionality of the designs, and how to plan the use of available space, structural engineers are concerned with the structural stability of the building. Training in both areas takes considerable education as well as time to gain experience in the techniques.Education and licensing: Both professions require specific degrees and licenses. An architect needs a professional degree in architecture, while a structural engineer needs an engineering degree and relevant professional licenses. Completing both sets of requirements can be lengthy and demanding.

The total seat intake for BArch is 80. The college provides seat to candidates after selection. Admission to BArch course is based on JEE Main Paper-2 or NATA score. Candidate should be an Indian National and have domicile of Maharashtra state and/ or born in the Maharashtra state to apply for BArch course of JNEC Aurangabad. Aspirants who have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply for BArch course. Aspirants who have pass Class 10 along with a three-year Diploma with Mathematics as a subject are also eligible. Candidates who fulfil the admission requirements are provided seat in the college after fee payment. The total tuition fee for BArch is INR 1.50 lakh.
