The Army Institute of Law (AIL) in Mohali has a student review rating of 3.8 out of 5.   It was ranked 26th in the law category by NIRF in 2023.   In 2019, India Today ranked it 14th among the best law colleges in India. In 2017, India Today ranked it 11th among India's best colleges and Outlook India ranked it 16th among the top 25 law colleges in India.  Some say the campus is moderate in size and has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. Others say the college is small in terms of area and students, which they consider one of the best things about it
