Vacancies varies each year in Central and State Governments. There is no quota system subject or degree wise in UPSC or MPSC. If Defence is your target area why do not you appear for CDS conducted by UPSC to become Commissioned Officer in Indian Army.

Army recruits through entrance tests and a string of physical tests and exercises. They have a very stringent eligibility criteria like height, weight, eyesight etc. If you qualify all of the above, then , yes, you can may become an army officer

You can apply for NDA exam which is after your 12th. It will have maths paper based on 12th maths so be prepared. results will take some time like 2 to 4 months.
