Geography was the most preferred subject among the optional subjects chosen by the candidates, followed by Political Science & International Relations and Sociology. Sociology can help in the ethics paper as well with its focus on human nature, behaviour and society. This subject also helps to a great extent in writing on social issues topics in the GS and essay papers. Political Science and sociology has most importance in their own fields but taking sociology is better for both UPSC and PG. First of all you can't have a Masters degree in cardiology ( as far as I know) if you are a physiotherpy graduate. If it's a Masters degree in cardio respiratory physiotherpy you mean, it's a very promising career to have. There are only a handful of cardio respiratory physiotherapist who focuses on acute and outpatient rehabilitation which is an essential for patients with cardio respiratory complaints.
