M.A. In Dance is a 2 years course offered by Universities across India. The course mainly focuses on the dancing skills of the students. The course helps the students to learn new dance forms (folk and classical dances). The minimum qualification needed for admission to this course is graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in the particular stream. Final year candidates can also apply for the course. Admission to this course is done by the CET. Some colleges offer admission to students on a merit basis. Colleges and universities which offer admission to CET are dependent on the score of AUCET and some Universities conduct their separate exams for admission. The top colleges that offer this course are Andhra University, Rabindra Bharati University, Guru Nanak Dev University, Alva's University. The Average fees for this course is around INR 7,000- INR 2 LPA depending upon the nature of the college. Some of the subjects that are taught in the course are History of Arts, Natya Shastra, Concept of Nataraja, Dance Literature, Natya Gruha etc. M.A. In dance provides a good scope for the students who want to pursue their career in dance art. The course is divided and designed in a manner to develop the skills and talent of the students in this area. Students having a keen interest in this art can pursue the course. The average salary offered after the completion of this course ranges from INR 1.5 LPA to INR 3.5 LPA depending upon the skills and capabilities of the candidate.

Being an LPU alumnus I can proudly answer this question:Eleven students from Lovely Professional University have been selected to represent India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, which will take place from July 23 to August 8, 2021. In Wrestling, Hockey Athletics, and Paralympics, the athletes will represent the United States. This is the biggest number of students from an Indian private university ever chosen for an Indian Olympic contingent. Manpreet Singh, the captain of the Indian hockey team and an LPU student, will be India's Flag Bearer during the Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremony. Six other LPU students are members of the Indian Means Hockey Team. Wrestling, hockey, athletics (javelin throw and sprinting), and Paralympics will all feature LPU students. As my neighbor's daughter completed this programme from LPU and is now working in a production company. He is also doing modeling in magazines as a freelancer.
