If you are interested in designing courses, then do M.Des courses from some reputed institute. Because doing the professional courses from the non reputed Institutes can creates big problems in employment. Accordingly, you have to starts your preparation for their entrance exams. The top design Institutes are like NID, NIFT, IIT-IDC Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIIT Jabalpur. The admission in NID and NIFTs are based on their entrance exams, while Common Entrance Examination for Design Exam CEED is for admission in M.Des courses at IITs and IIIT. BFA and Art courses are generally not available through distance learning mode. I would say that Arts is a Science which should be learnt through a regular course.
