Hi, Fine arts are offered by CBSE as a subject option, however, individual schools decide on the options they wish to provide their students. Do let us know which city you are writing in from so we can check if the schools there offer fine arts as a study option in class XI and XII. Else your brother can opt for subjects as per his interests, choice and strengths in class XII since there are no subject restrictions for admission to the BFA course. The eligibility criteria is you need to have minimum 45% having Drawing/ Painting/ Sculpture/ Applied Art as one of the subjects in 10+2.
Candidates with Compartment are not eligible to apply.
