No. The students will not be allowed to change their allotted branch under any circumstances. Once the candidates are allotted and the fee is paid, the authorities will not entertain any requests to make the changes. Before confirming the admission, the candidates will be provided with enough time to make their decision. In case of any doubts, the candidates are advised to contact the authorities immediately.

Assam CEE counselling is held online for all eligible and qualified candidates. Based on the decided counselling dates, the candidates will have to register and fill out their choices. After the final date, no applications will be accepted. The authorities will not accept offline applications for the Assam CEE counselling. After allotment, the candidates will have to physically report to their institute for confirmation of admission. If the candidate fails to confirm their admission before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.

The authorities have not yet announced the date for the commencement of classes for the qualified Assam CEE candidates. After the counselling process is over, the candidates will be informed about the class commencement date. On the date of the commencement of classes, the candidates will have to report to the institute and attend the classes. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the authorities to know the date for the commencement of classes.

Assam CEE counselling will be conducted by the authorities of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam. Since  Assam Science & Technological University (ASTU) is only responsible for the application, examination and result process, DTE will be responsible for the counselling and seat allotment process. All details regarding the Assam CEE counselling will be prepared and released by the authorities of DTE Assam online.

Once the candidates are allotted, the candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date.

Yes.  The candidates will be required to verify their provisional certificates during the Assam CEE counselling process. All of the important original documents and their photocopies have to be submitted for verification to confirm the allotment. In case the candidates do not have the original documents, then they can submit their provisional certificates. If the candidates are unable to present their provisional certificates, then their allotment may get cancelled.

To confirm their allotment through Assam CEE counselling, the candidates will have to carry some important documents for verification. Some of the documents that the candidates will have to present at the document verification are - Print outs of Assam CEE application form, Assam CEE admit card, Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC), Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable), 10th Admit Card/Pass Certificate issued by the Board/Council, 10th standard or equivalent examination mark sheet and 12th standard or equivalent examination mark sheet. The candidates should also carry four recent passport-size colour photographs.
