As per the official exam pattern, Assam CEE will be held in two languages - English and Assamese. The official Assam CEE question paper will be available in both English and Assamese to the candidates. This is done to ensure that the candidates do not face any problems in understanding the question paper. After reading the questions, the candidates will have to check the available options and select their choice of answer and mark in on the given OMR sheet.

No. The authorities will not give any partial marking to the candidates based on the steps taken to derive the answer. If the final answer is incorrect, the candidates will experience negative marking even if their steps were correct. Since the entrance examination is objective and multiple-choice in nature, only the final answer marked in the OMR sheet will matter to the authorities. Therefore, the candidates are advised to carefully check the questions during the exam before answering it.

No. It is not mandatory for the candidates to attempt all of the questions in the Assam CEE paper. Since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to check carefully and answer those questions which they are sure about. By choosing those questions for which they know the correct answers, the candidates will have higher chances of avoiding negative marking and performing well in the entrance exam.
