To identify which university is more affordable for MBA courses among Assam University and Gauhati University, the best anyone can do is compare their course fees. The MBA programme at Assam University has not been ranked by NIRF. However, according to the rankings from NIRF, Assam University outperformed various other institutes, securing a higher position for its achievements. It has been seen that in the 'University' category, the institute is ranked #101. Additionally, the MBA course at Assam University has been ranked by 'The Times' in 2022, it has been seen that in the management course, the university has been ranked 125.

Yes, Assam University follows seat reservations for MBA courses as the university is a public university, so it follows reservations as per the rules sanctioned by the government of India. The reservations are available for different categories, such as caste, economic status, housing, disability, etc. 15% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC) for MBA courses at Assam University.

Yes, Assam University does offer internships to its MBA students. Even, students need to go to the compulsory Summer Internship as assigned by the department. All MBA students, after their second end-semester examination is over and before the commencement of the third semester in the second year, will have to compulsorily undergo a summer internship of preferably eight weeks duration.

No, Assam University does not allow direct admission to MBA courses. To be eligible for admission to all management courses offered by Assam University, candidates must qualify for their Class 12 with a 60% score from a recognised board and must achieve 55% in bachelor's degree. After qualifying for this basic eligibility criteria candidates must have secured valid/competitive scores in the CAT/ XAT/ CUET PG/ CMAT entrance examination. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to GD and PI. Furthermore, candidates must submit documents on which they completed the Bachelor’s degree and other academic & personal details.
