Certain points in this regards:
(#1) Only PCB wouldn't help. Some entrance exam requires maths as a mandatory subject also because of the huge involvement of physics, mechanics and astronomy. It is really important to have strong understanding of physics, chemistry and biology. Do not worry if you are not good with maths as you can still do something with the other subjects. You must remember that as far as Astrobiology is concerned you will be mainly self-taught.

Astrophysics! It's a greatly fascinating subject provided you have some interest in it. It's basically an observational science rather than an experimental one. Yes, engineering graduates can start in this field. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information.

The minimum eligibility required to be met for admission to the course is a 10+2 qualification from a recognised educational board with physics and mathematics as two of the main subjects with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.

There are multiple universities who accept an entrance exam known as JAM, it is held by IIT-Karaghpur this year and if you get a good score, you will get a chance to join IITs. On the other hand, the University of Pune is offering their own entrance exam. This university has a centre known as IUCA (Inter University Centre for Astrophysics). The professors from IUCA come and teach M.Sc classes (it's written on the website of IUCA). You can look into this option if you want to pursue your career in astrophysics.
