The Indian Institute of Astrophysics is a premier institute devoted to research in astronomy, astrophysics and related physics.This is a full-time research programme where in the students work towards their Ph.D degree under the supervision of an IIA faculty. Students may join the programme in either the first semester beginning in August or the second semester beginning in January. Entrance examination is held in December followed by interview in January. Students passing the JEST exam are interviewed in May / June. You are not eligible for M.Sc in astrophysics as majority of universities prefer engineers of physics or maths student for PG and Ph.D.

You can do studies in Astrophysics after ECE engineering. Indian Institute of Astrophysics(IIA) runs integrated M.Sc-Ph.D Programme in Physics and Astrophysics in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. IIA conducts the Integrated M.Tech- Ph.D (Tech.) programme in Astronomical Instrumentation in collaboration with Department of Applied Optics and Photonics, University of Calcutta (CU).

There are four ways to get admission in IIA : GATE, CSIR NET , JEST and IIAST.
You need minimum 96 percentile in GATE to get selected for the Interview round in IIA.
NET and JEST qualified students can also apply for IIA.
IIAST is a national level exam conducted by IIA. The forms for IIAST comes in September and the exams are in major cities across India on second Saturday of December.
There are two courses available Ph.D and Int. M.Tech- PhD.
For engineers, in the IIAST written exam,they basically ask basic astronomy, EMT, Signals, Digital & Analog electronics, Control systems, Optics and basic 12th standard physics.

No, you can not get into NASA after D Pharma.
You can get into NASA as a Geologist!
I would like to quote legendary astronaut Dr. Sally K. Ride :

Look for universities in UK, Australia, Singapore, Poland and New Zealand. For education loan you can contact any nationalized bank such as SBI which is more preferred, Andhra Bank, PNB etc. Best of Luck.
