To be eligible for the B.Des programme at ISDI School of Design and Innovation in Mumbai, candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board. Both ISDI School of Design and Innovation and International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) Andheri are reputed institutes for design education in Mumbai. However, there is a significant difference in their course fees.ISDI Fees StructureISDI offers UG, PG and PG Diploma courses in design.The total fees for the 4-year UG Diploma programme is around ?25 lakhs. The annual fees is ?6.5 lakhs.The 11-month PG programme fees is ?6.05 Lacs per year.The total fees for the 2-year PG Diploma course is around ?10.5 lakhs.INIFD Andheri Fees StructureINIFD offers diploma, advanced Diploma and degree programs in fashion, interior and graphic design.The total fees for the 3-year Diploma programme is around ?5 lakhs. The annual fees is around ?1.6 lakhs.The 4-year degree programme fees is ?10 lakhs. The annual fees is ?2.5 lakhs.

ISDI School of Design and Innovation does not accept NID DAT scores for admission to B.Des programs. ISDI has its own admission process called ISDI Challenge. Candidates are admitted to ISDI based on their performance in the ISDI Challenge, which consists of three stages:Portfolio upload or Design Project (100 marks, 40% weightage) Online Design Aptitude Test (DAT) (100 marks, 40% weightage)Online Interview (100 marks, 20% weightage)There is no minimum percentile or cutoff required in NID DAT to apply for B.Des programs at ISDI. Candidates are shortlisted for admission based on their combined performance in the three stages of the ISDI Challenge.Shortlisted candidates have to appear for an online interview where they have to present and discuss their portfolio and design thinking process.

To get admission into ISDI School of Design & Innovation Mumbai, candidates have to appear for the ISDI Challenge. The ISDI Challenge comprises: Design Aptitude Test (DAT),  Personal Interview and Portfolio ReviewStudents are selected for admission based on their combined performance in these components of the ISDI Challenge. There are no specific cut-off scores, but higher scores improve the chances of admission.The Design Aptitude Test evaluates the candidate's:Creative ability,  Graphic skills,  Spatial visualization and Knowledge of design fundamentalsIt contains questions from:Visual arts,  Design concepts,  General knowledge and Logical and analytical reasoningThe DAT is followed by a personal interview where candidates have to present and discuss their portfolio. This evaluates their design thinking process, creativity, communication skills and passion for design. There is no minimum scores disclosed for the ISDI Challenge. But in previous years, candidates with: DAT score above 75% and Good portfolio and Interview performance has secured admission.

ISDI is definitely one of the top design colleges in Mumbai but it may not be the absolute best. It has a strong reputation and offers a good mix of academics and industry exposure. However, there are colleges like NIFT and Pearl Academy that have a slight edge in some aspects. Overall, ISDI is a good option for design education in Mumbai based on one's preferences and budget. ISDI has a sprawling 43-acre campus in the Bandra Kurla Complex with state-of-the-art facilities like design studios, media labs, 3D printing labs, etc. The college claims to have a 100% placement and internship record with top recruiters like Philips, Infosys, Adidas, etc. visiting the campus.
