Candidates who appeared for the ATMA exam, will be able to check their ATMA scores online. To check and download the ATMA scorecard, they will be required to login in the candidate portal on the official ATMA AIMS website by using their Personal Identification Number (PID) and Password (Date of Birth). Candidates should use the correct PID number to check the scores. Candidates who applied for the ATMA exam but were unable to appear for the exam due to any reason will not be able to download the ATMA result. These details are crucial to log in to the official ATMA result portal. ATMA cut offs are not announced along with the ATMA result. Individual participating institutes release their own cutoff and they are known after a few days of result announcement when the colleges start their shortlisting process. ATMA cutoff is a major criteria for students to get admissions to their desired colleges. Candidates who match the ATMA cutoff criteria at an institute which accepts ATMA score will be invited to appear for the further selection process which includes Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview . If the candidates are shortlisted after the counselling process, he/she will be required to carry a set of documents for the admission process. Candidates are advised to keep original documents handy as the college authorities require the same at the time of admission. ATMA score is determined on the basis of correct answers marked by aspirants in the ATMA exam. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded one mark. For an incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted from the candidates' total score. This means that for four incorrect answers, one mark is deducted from the total score. The raw score of candidates is scaled with reference to the total number of candidates appearing in the exam. The ATMA percentile is the percentage of candidates among those who have appeared for the exam and scored below the candidate in that category. That is, if a candidate has scored 53 per cent, this means that 53 per cent of candidates who have appeared in ATMA exam scored below him/her. Based on the percentile score of candidates they will be offered admission to the management institutions compared to others who have appeared in the test.

For the final selection, the institutes take ATMA scores, performance in GD/PI, What, Class 10 and Class 12 marks, marks obtained in graduation, work experience, academic diversity and gender diversity.

After the ATMA result declaration, top colleges which accept the ATMA scores start the shortlisting process. The ATMA scores are accepted in over 750 MBA/PGDM and MCA colleges. After the results, the institutes release ATMA cutoffs category-wise and invite applicants to appear for Written Ability Test, Group Discussion GD and Personal Interview rounds for admissions. Candidates can choose up to five institutes while filling ATMA application form where they need to send their ATMA scores and take part in the ATMA counselling process.
