Hi,
Off course, an ECE Graduate can be a part of Automobile Industry. Since most of the vehicles today consists of various microprocessors/microcontrollers and sensors for their automatic locomotion. So this kind of automation work can only be done either by an Electronics Engineer or by an Electrical Engineer. Also the production plant works on PLCs which can only be programmed by ECE or EEE graduate student. All the Automobiles will have embedded systems and communication systems in them. Hi Rohit,
Lateral entry means, you have already completed your Diploma. Instead of four years, you will get a engineering degree in just three years. You will get admission directly in second year. That's it.

Hi Rohit,
Yes, you can pursue automobile engineering after completing your Diploma in it. Some good private colleges are Amity University, Sharda University, Lovely Professional University, Manipal University, etc. You can go for these colleges.

You must have the knowledge of thermodynamics and electrostatics. You should have good maths skills. Interest in solving mathematical equations on your own. You should be hard working and deterministic. You should have loads of interest to develop new things. Have patience to read a lot because mechanical engineering requires lots of knowledge.

It will be a bit difficult to get Automobile Engineering at this score. Generally, the JEE Main cut off is around 80-85 percentile for Medicap University.

Course fee for B.Tech automobile is 15,40,000.
Fees is subject to change without notice. The fees at the time of admission is the actual fees payable. Disputes, if any, will be redressed under the University rules and regulations.
