Hi,
Off course, an ECE Graduate can be a part of Automobile Industry. Since most of the vehicles today consists of various microprocessors/microcontrollers and sensors for their automatic locomotion. So this kind of automation work can only be done either by an Electronics Engineer or by an Electrical Engineer. Also the production plant works on PLCs which can only be programmed by ECE or EEE graduate student. All the Automobiles will have embedded systems and communication systems in them. You must have the knowledge of thermodynamics and electrostatics. You should have good maths skills. Interest in solving mathematical equations on your own. You should be hard working and deterministic. You should have loads of interest to develop new things. Have patience to read a lot because mechanical engineering requires lots of knowledge.

It will be a bit difficult to get Automobile Engineering at this score. Generally, the JEE Main cut off is around 80-85 percentile for Medicap University.
