Hi there, being an alumnus I would like to share some of the crucial points of Automobile Engineering:
Automobile Engineering is the branch of engineering which deals with designing, manufacturing, mechanical mechanisms as well operations of automobiles. It is also an introduction to vehicle engineering which includes cars, motorcycles, trucks and buses etc. Eligibility: Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST&For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants). The chances of you getting placed at a company solely depend upon you and not on anybody else for that matter. There is no set package that you receive after graduating. Job is used to sustain yourself while doing what you love. It isn't like that you provide money to the college to spend 4 years and after that, you get a job. You are getting educated and universities are not some job agencies so stop looking at a degree like that. Anyways, LPU gives great placements to capable students of automobile engineering. PLACEMENTS: The maximum package availed by students at LPU in the Automobile Engineering programme is 10 LPA from Hettich India, Intellipat. The majority opt for Teaching/Research. Now talking from an aspect of LPU, B.Tech programme in Automobile engineering deals with the study of various engines and their construction, electrical systems, alternative fuels, safety, economics and quality of an automobile. Team of young & motivated engineers work to build Formula Car and concept Cars and also represent Lovely Professional University at National and International Design competitions such as BAJA SAEINDIA, BAJA SAE UTEP (TEXAS), Formula USA, FORMULA SAEIndia, and Showcase their creativity and technical skills The Mechanical Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation.
