Hello Reshmi, A.M.E. Actually can not be compared with Aeronautical Engineering. However if we still do then it must be on some parameters. A.M.E. Is actually a skill imparting course leading to the degree of B.Sc. Presently placements are very good and are expected to remain like this in near future. On the other hand, Aeronautical Engineering will make students expert in all aspects of a flying objects. But presently job prospects are very bleak and are not expected to improve substantially. If you want to become a pilot then you have to join some flying school of India. The duration is as long as 2-3 years. While it takes 18-24 months for getting the commercial pilot licence after gaining the flight experience of at least 200 hours in India.
