Eligibility for B.A. Honours in Economics:
Candidates wishing to apply for the course need to have a Higher Secondary Certificate qualification from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate marks of 45%. The cut-off marks for application in this course varies from institute to institute. Regards.

Maths in 10+2 level is not compulsory for BA economics but after joining degree you may have math as your subject. Good luck.

No, Arts students are not eligible to pursue BA Economics unless hey have studied Economics and Mathematics as subjects in Class 12. Since you have mentioned that you have not studied Mathematics in Class 12 , you cannot apply for BA Economics.However there are some private colleges that have relaxed admission criteria where students like you can be eligible to apply. You can also pursue BA Economics through distance colleges such as IGNOU. Hope this helps. All the best

For clearing Indian Economic Service, either of the courses is okay. Since they will ask questions on the topic that you have chosen. Hence select the course that fascinates you.

B.A. (Hons), and B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics are nearly all same. The course curriculum varies in each. Also, affiliated University plays a major role in deciding the Degree. Above all B.A. Is the simple graduation in which you've to study Arts/Social Sc Subjects for 3 whole years. B.A. (HonS) is mastering the Honours subject in final year. B.Sc. (hons) is also the same thing albeit in B.Sc. You'll have more of mathematics and calculative part as compared to the counterparts. I'll give my own example. I and my other two friends are pursuing graduation in Economics. I'm from BHU, one is from Delhi University and the other one is from Calc
