No, you cannot do on the basis of engineering Diploma. However, if you have passed class 12th, then you are eligible.

Yes, you are very much eligible to study journalism. Since you're done with your undergraduate program you can do a M.A in mass communication from MCC. There is no M.A in journalism offered.

Admission to BA Journalism programme starts after the results for 10+2 examination are declared. Ideally, the process begins in the month of May, when various institutes invite application from prospective students. Students whose 10+2 results have been declared or who are awaiting their results can fill the application forms for the course. The admission process is best described through the figure given below:

No there is no entrance exam to get admitted into BA in Journalism program. The admission is based on the score in public exam (12th/+2).

Engineering and J&M are very different from each other. While you have to exert a lot more for engineering, it will be more fruitful. But if you actually want to do Journalism and Mass Communication then you should go for the course you really want to pursue.
