Entry to this program depends on passing the university entrance examination. No formal publication of B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science cutoff marks exists although Shiksha.com reports that General category candidates secured 65 marks while SC/ST candidates achieved 60 marks during a past entrance examination according to user feedback.  These admission requirements are present only in individual reports because official cutoff information is unavailable.

Yes, there is seat reservation for the Jammu University BA course.  As per the new reservation policy of the government and the latest Statutes of the University of Jammu. 50% of the seats are reserved for the General and the open category and the rest 50% is distributed among other special categories such as SC, ST, PWD, Residents of Backward Areas, Other Backward Classes (OBC), etc.
