A minimum of Class 12 is required to apply for BDes course at IIT Bombay. Below is the detailed eligibility:Candidates should have been born on or after Oct 1, 1999., if belonging to Open/ EWS/ OBC-NCL Category and on or after October 1, 1994, if belonging to SC, ST or PwD Category.Aspirants should have obtained a rank in UCEED. A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years. Jindal School of Art and Architecture offers full-time BDes courses in 2 specialisations. Selection of the candidate for this course is done in three rounds:Fill out the application form along with a personal statement.Appear in Jindal Creative Aptitude Test or UCEEDAppear for a personal interview along with a portfolio reviewAfter successfully clearing all the rounds, candidates are allotted a provisional seat.

Candidates who have twelve years of school education with minimum of five subjects by the National Open School or from a recognised board are eligible for the BDes at NIFT Chennai. Additionally, as per the Institution's guidelines, candidate's maximum age should be less than 24 years (5 years relaxation in upper age for people from reserved categories). Now candidates are only required to appear for the NIFT entrance exam for BDes admission.

Candidates who have cleared the Class 12/HSC exam in any stream from a recognised board are eligible for the BDes course. In addition, students must have the relevant documents for the same with them to be presented during the admission process.

The eligibility for BDes at Apeejay Institute of Design is to have a twelve years of school education with minimum 50%. The Institution offers BDes for a duration of four years in seven specialisations, including Graphic Design, Digital Media, Interior Space Design, etc. BDes selection is done entirely on the Aptitude Test and Interview. Candidates who have completed twelve years of school education from any recognised board, are eligibile for the FDDI BDes Programme. Also candiates must appear for either AIST  (All India Selection Test) or UCEED, which qualifies the candidates for admission to the BDes programme.
