The National Institute of Design (NID) Vijayawada accepts NID DAT scores for admission to B.Des. The minimum cutoff for B.Des in 2023 was 50 marks for the General category. The cutoff for three B.Des specializations, including Communication Design, Industrial Design, and Textile and Apparel Design, was 62.2.  To be considered for admission, candidates must appear in both DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. A merit list is created for each category based on the results of DAT Prelims. Candidates are then called for DAT Mains, which includes a studio test and interview.

The required rank depends on a variety of factors, including course, category, and the candidate's preferred campus. In general, the lower the rank, the greater the likelihood of admission to the desired programme and campus. However, a score of at least 100 out of 150 is often co
