The admission criteria for BDes at Dr. DY Patil School of Design is entrance-based. Candidates who are Class 12 pass with at least 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories) can apply. The application form can be filled out via the official website. After this, the applicants need to take the DPU AIDAT exam. The applicants with UCEED/NID scores can be given preference by the design school. Further, the shortlisted students have to submit a portfolio and participate in the studio test and personal interview. A final merit list can be released after conclusion of all the selection rounds. These students can submit documents and pay admission fee to confirm their seats.

The Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Interior and Furniture Design offered at Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a four-year long program which is professional degree that brings out creative design principles, aesthetics, and industry relevant skills.
