NIFT Mumbai eligibility criteria does not specifies the minimum aggregate to apply for a course. However, aspirants must pass Class 12 to apply for UG and graduation for PG courses. Besides, candidates have to qualify NIFT Entrance Exam for admission to UG and PG courses. The application process is carried out via online mode. Some of the popular programmes that the institute offers are BDes, BFTech, and MDes.

The ITM Institute of Design and Media located at Nerul provides campus B.Des scholarships as per merit as well as needs basis. Scholarships are usually given to students with excellent performance in previous qualifying examination and ITM entrance examination scores. However, ITM from time to time offers scholarship to the students from the low income background, with focus on supporting anyone who has a small capital to fund his/her studies but has a potential to contribute positively towards the society. The process of admission in B.Des course offered by the ITM Institute of Design and Media is spread over several stages. The basic criteria for the course vary, but generally, applicants must fill an online form and for the minimum qualification, which is passing of 10+2 standard from any recognised board for some courses. These candidates are then expected to write a design aptitude test set by the institute for the deserving candidates. Depending on the test results, candidates who are invited for an interview may be required to sit for other tests such as a portfolio interview.

ITM Institute of Design and Media, Nerul The minimum qualification cutoff and the admission process for B.Des is as follows The admission for the B.Des programme is offered only for the candidate who clears the ITM Design Aptitude Test (ITM-DAT) and Personal interview. There are no standard pass scores as such since the admission turnover depends on a number of factors ouring the entrance examination as well as the interview. The cutoff may not remain the same for a particular course every year mainly because of the total number of students applying for a particular course, level of difficulty of the test
