Recent times have shown promise for the best package offered by NIFT Bhubaneswar to B.Des students. For the academic year 2022–2023 on-campus placements, the highest package offered was 19 LPA; off-campus placements saw even higher figures, at 22 LPA. According to students who received alluring job offers—both inside and outside of campus placements—these findings show that there is a strong demand for NIFT Bhubaneswar design graduates. Further bolstering the institute's reputation for delivering students well-prepared for professional work in the design field is the average package of roughly 7 LPA, which shows a competitive job market for B.Des graduates.

NEP 2020 does not give a clear preference to one of these degrees, though B. Des can be considered as closer to the new paradigm since its focus is on a broader and more diverse learning in the sphere of design.B. Des qualifies a person as a more well rounded designer with ability to comprehend different aspects of design thinking, innovation and aesthetic and technical aspects which make him ready for more versatility in job opportunities in design profession.B.Sc is more specialised in terms of focusing in interior spaces which is great if you have clear interest into such kind of area.Based on the personal considerate, if concern is more given to general education in design and flexibility of the job options then one should go for B. Des. Choose Option B which is B.Sc in Interior Design if you have a special inclination towards designing interiors. These align well with the overall legislative objectives of NEP 2020 with regards to nurturing creative as well as problem-solve oriented skills.
