B.E. Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the B.E./B.Tech course in the Maratha Mandal Engineering College or MMEC are:Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed 2nd PUC or 12th standard (or equivalent examination) with the language as English. The eligibility criteria for the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programme at Babasaheb Naik College of Engineering (BNCOE), Janata Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, mostly follows the norms of Maharashtra's Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and all-India council for technical education (AICTE). Here are the main points:1. Educational QualificationEvery candidate should have qualified the 10+2 (Higher Secondary or equivalent) qualifying examination from a recognised body.Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subjects should be studied as main subjects in the 12th standard.In general, Open category candidate's physics, maths and optional subject (chemistry/biology/biotechnology/ technical vocational subject) combined should be at least 50% aggregate.For the reserved category SC/ST/OBC and physically challenged candidates of Maharashtra state the aggregate is usually 45%.2. Entrance Exam Requirement Mainly admission is provided based on JEE Mains or MHT-CET scores of candidate.To those candidates who are seeking admission in state quota are required to take the MHT CET.Management quota or any other quota where candidates can appear and provide JEE mAINS scores is also available.3. Domicile Requirements (for MHT CET candidates)This is due to the fact that candidates who wish to apply in the state quota are required to hold the domicile of Maharashtra. However, in case of JEE Main candidates, there are no domicile restrictions to apply for the seats under All India quota.
