M.B.M. Engineering College has been upgraded to a public state university known as M.B.M. University.
The admissions to the B.E. and B.Arch. programs of the university are carried out through the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP), organized by the Center for E-Governance, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

If your category rank (OBC Rank) is 3032, then the IITs available to you are:-
1] IIT Dhanbad - Geophysics (5 Y)
2] IIT BHU - Bio (5 Y)
3] IIT Kharagpur - Applied Geology (5 Y)
Unless you need the IIT Tag to flaunt in front of your relatives and unless you have some specific interest in these fields or unless you are planning to work hard to get a vertical branch transfer, go for NITs on the basis of your Mains rank or go for a drop. If your Open Rank is 3032, then you have a lot to choose from: - (The best options in no specific order, according to me are chosen as there are 50 and more branches open)

I'm currently in 2nd year of Civil Engineering in R.C Patel Institute of Technology COE. From my 2 years of experience I would tell that it's a good college. Faculties are good. In first year we had some young faculties who were not that experienced. But for core subjects of civil engineering which we study in 2nd year , we have experienced faculties who have over 10+ years of experience.
And yes, lectures happen regularly. ( Bad news huh.? ) And you go to defaulters list if you don't attend enough lectures. What has to be done with students of defaulters list is decided by respective faculty. Mostly they will give you assignment to sol
