Candidates must be pass outs of any bachelor’s degree and/or in the master’s degree in Science/ Social Science/ Commerce/ Humanities with at least 50% aggregate or have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialisation in Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 55% aggregate. In the field of Education, IGNOU offers a B.Ed programme to students who've completed their bachelor's degree in any field. While the minimum duration to pursue B.Ed is two years, the maximum period allowed for completion is five years.

It is crucial that each of the aspirant for B.Ed at GNDU meet the required eligibility requirements. Thus, the applicant must hold a valid Bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate or Master’s degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with at least 55% aggregate.
