Yes, you can appear for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) if you are in your third year of an integrated B.Sc B.Ed. program: The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has revised the CTET eligibility criteria to allow candidates enrolled in Teacher Training Courses (TTC) to apply for the exam. Candidates who have completed a three-year integrated B.Ed. - M. Ed. course with a minimum of 55% marks in post-graduation are eligible to appear for the CTET. Candidates who meet the above criteria are eligible to be considered for appointment as teachers for classes 1 to 5. However, they must also complete a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education within two years of their appointment. 

Of course, the MATS University presently has a Bachelor of Education, B.ED programme offered in distance mode. Students and working professionals have particular schedules that cannot allow them into the traditional classroom setting hence the creation of the program. This course is also a full course B.Ed course, taking the candidates through different aspects of teaching, learning approaches, attitudes, classroom management and Educational psychology. The duration of the programme is normally 2 years. This basis is entrance eligibility requirements including possession of a graduate degree with not less than fifty percent marks (forty five percent for SC/ST category) from a recognized university.
