According to the eligibility criteria, candidates must have completed or be in the final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed. programme to apply for Paper-I, which is intended for teaching classes I to V.Therefore, you can consider applying for the CTET examination once you are in the final year of your B.El.Ed. program.Thanks.

While a D.Ed. or B.El.Ed. provides a foundational education, it may not be considered equivalent to a B.Ed. in Special Education for roles specifically requiring that specialization. Always check the specific requirements of the educational institution or governing body in your area for the most accurate information.

No,  a two-year Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) or a Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) is not equivalent to a B.Ed. Special Education. As,  D.Ed. and B.El.Ed. are Diploma and bachelor's degrees, respectively,  focusing on general elementary education (Classes 1-5 or 1-8). Whereas, B.Ed. Special Education is a bachelor's degree specifically designed to train teachers for students with special needs.
