Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) offers a Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) programme with English as the medium of instruction and examination. If you prefer to pursue the BLIS course in Hindi, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers the programme in both English and Hindi mediums. Additionally, the Central University of Himachal Pradesh offers a BLIS program, but the medium of instruction is not specified in the available information. Therefore, if studying in Hindi is a priority, IGNOU would be a suitable option.

Yes, students need to graduate with any stream to be eligible to pursue MLibISc. It is possible to pursue a Master of Library and Information Science degree in many situations without first earning a Bachelor of Library and Information Science degree.Numerous programmes accept applicants with a variety of academic backgrounds and do not technically require an undergraduate degree in library and information Science as a requirement. It is just that students with BLibISc are given more preference than other candidates.
