To apply for the B.P.Ed course candidates must have finished their third year of degree from recognised colleges or university in Andhra Pradesh. They must be a minimum of 19 as on July 1, 2025. Candidates will have to submit their pass certificate during counselling for final admission.For the D.P.Ed. course candidates must be of a minimum 16 years as on July 1, 2025, and they must have passed intermediate or similar course approved by the Andhra Pradesh government. Candidates who are in their final year can also apply provided they will have to submit their qualifying certificate during counselling.

Candidates need to complete graduation with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for Category - I, Sports and Persons with Disability and 35% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for Kuvempu University BPEd course. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification. Besides, the selection for BPEd will be based on entrance exam conducted by the university.

Kuvempu University selects candidates for BPEd based on entrance exam conducted by the university. There shall be an entrance test for admission to BPEd conducted by the university. The details of syllabi and pattern of entrance test are given in the respective Department Profile. The admission notification for BPEd releases in October. After completion of the selection process, the university releases a merit list to announce the name of selected candidates.

Candidates willing to take admission in BPEd course through Calicut University Common Admission Test (CUCAT) must have done Class 12 rom Kerala State Board or any recognised board in any stream with Physical Education as a subject and should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate. With CUCAT, candidates can get admission in various other courses. Candidates are suggested to check the Shiksha's page to know about detailed eligibility criteria.

For Aligarh Muslim University B.P.Ed admission, candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% and have at least participation in the InterCollege/Inter-Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognised by the AIU/ IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India. Students with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% marks or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as a compulsory elective subject are also eligible for AMU B.P.Ed admission.
