Yes,  Delhi University offers a Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) programme through its Institute of Gymnastics, Sports Sciences & Physical Education  (IGIPESS). IGIPESS,  a constituent college of DU,  runs a full-time,  two-year B.P.Ed. program affiliated with the University of Delhi.

Yes, you can get a job after the BPEd Degree, if you fulfil the eligibility criteria. Various institutes have different criteria for hiring professionals who are graduates in BPEd. Many graduates also specialise in various other specialisations such as nutrition, kinetics, physiotherapy, gym training etc. in order to build their own niche practice area and work across popular fitness companies.

Yes, you can do BPEd in one to two years duration courses as well, if you have completed your Graduation already. Candidates who pursue BPEd after graduation are offered wider credits and expansive course curriculum and therefore complete the course in 2 years. Hence, candidates who aspire to get into the field of Physical Education, sports and Fitness straight after Class 12th have to pursue a three/four-year BPEd course whereas pursue a degree and gather work experience in order to pursue 2 years BPEd after graduation.

The BPEd entrance exam comprises a written test, physical efficiency test, game or sport playing ability tests and personal interview. Whereas, the written test is aimed at evaluating candidates on subjects such as General Aptitude, General Knowledge, English, Science,  etc. Entrance Tests are the first step in determining the existing knowledge base of candidates and shortlisting candidates on the basis of the cutoff scored.
