The core subjects of the BPharma course include pharmaceutical chemistry (chemistry of medicinal compounds), pharmaceutics (manufacturing of dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, etc.), pharmacology (action of drugs on the body and action of the body on the drugs) and pharmacognosy (medicinal drugs obtained from plants and other natural sources). In addition to the core subjects defined by PCI, electives such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Design Thinking and Data Analytics are offered to the BPharma students. Along with the core subject, students have the option to choose from subject-focused specialisations. They are also allowed to choose minor/exploratory subject from other schools at UPES. 

Yes, the university accepts CUET UG score for admission to BPharma course. Besides, candidates who have qualified NEET are also eligibile for admission. The university also conducts it own entrance exam UPESPAT for providing admission to BPharma course. UPESPAT (Pharmacy Aptitude Test) is a national-level online admission test held every year for admission into the four-year BPharma course at UPES School of Health Sciences.Candidates who have qualified any of the specified entrance exams must complete Class 10 and Class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate and Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects in Class 12 to apply for BPharma course. However, aspirants who have not appeared for any of the specified entrance exams can apply only if they have secured at least 75% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12 along with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects in Class 12. NEET cut-off rank will be announced (on UPES website) after the declaration of NEET 2023 results).

The total tuition fee for BPharma course is INR 5.10 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee excludes hostel charges and other admission expenses. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. The selection to BPharma course will be based on national-level entrance exams like CUET UG/ NEET.The university conducts UPESPAT for admission to BPharma course. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Aspirants will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission. The application fee for BPharma is INR 1,350. Candidates can pay the registration fee via any of the online payment mode.

Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test, commonly called as EAMCET is an entrance exam conducted for admission to courses like engineering agriculture and pharmacy to various colleges in the state Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Candidates were completed their 12th from recognised board with physics chemistry biology and mathematics along with English are eligible for applying.
