Earning a Bachelor of Science in Anaesthesia doesnt make you a doctor. While these graduates can work in healthcare and assist doctors who specialise in anaesthesia, they havent gone through the same rigorous medical training as an MD or MBBS doctor. Anesthesiologists are medical doctors who have dedicated their education to anesthesia. Their journey typically involves first obtaining an MD or MBS degree, followed by additional specialised training in anesthesiology residency programs. This in depth training equips them with the knowledge and skills to manage anesthesia independently. In essence, there's a big difference between providing support and taking the lead role. Anaesthesia technicians play a valuable role by assisting doctors, but they operate under the supervision of those with a doctor of Medicine degree.
