If you are planning for going in some engineering field, you will have to gain as much knowledge you can throughout your 4 years of Bachelor's degree.
If you will be proficient in that particular branch then you need not to care about which branch is better.
If there are less opportunity that doesn't mean you should not go ahead and vice versa.
Finally, just analyze your capabilities and take a decision.
It's totally depends on you which will be the bright future.

M.Sc in biotechnology has a good scope as the job opportunities for B.Sc graduates in a highly research oriented field as biotechnology is very less and most students tend to pursue M.Sc in biotechnology or a specialized discipline of biotechnology. India is a home to some excellent colleges for M.Sc programs such as JNU, DU, IISC, TIFR, IITs, etc.
