Yes, it is necessary to give CET but if you want to take management quote or institute level seats then you don't want to give, there are many colleges which offer direct admission.
Well, my dear friend,
Irrespective of your group in your intermediate you are eligible to do Biotechnology course.
If you are an MPC or BIPC group candidate, try to go for B.Tech biotechnology which will be offered in few colleges only.
So, getting a good rank in EAMCET is must in order to join. After B.Tech completion, you may have bright opportunities or you can also go for M.Tech.

B.Sc biotech makes you eligible at number of places for higher studies or for job in biotech industries. BPT specifically limits you to this field and it requires whole of patience as the job is quite demanding , but if you are passionate about it then there is nothing that can stop you. Both private and govt hospitals have not requirement and private sessions are also in demand , this specifically requires one to be compassionate towards others. See if you fit the bill.

Obviously, B.Tech biotechnology will be better. It is a technical degree course. If you want to pursue higher education, then go for B.Sc. Otherwise, settle with B.Tech.
