Yes, you can do that because of M.Sc just a Masters of your B.Tech branch, you can do this without any problem.

Biotechnology is a rapidly developing sector.Big firms are pouring in big money into it and new business opportunities are developing in this sector. These things have led to huge increase in job openings in this sector. In short, Biotechnology graduates are in huge demand these days.
The course is a combination of two subjects- Biology and Technology. Broadly speaking, it brings together concepts of Biology and Engineering and aims at putting concepts of both these subjects together, in a bid to enrich our lives and make innovative developments. If you want to precede your career in Biotechnology them I will recommend you to go for B.Tech biotech instead of B.Sc because B.Tech has batter prospects in future then B.Sc. and biotechnology is highly in demand in Canada so.
Some colleges in India have admission based on their entrance exam so kindly apply for it if you want your career to be in biotech.
