You have to score more than 75% in 12th from a recognised board and you should study the science subjects like biology, chemistry, physics and Maths.

The Alagappa University offers the course B.Sc. in Biotechnology based on the merit score, The minimum eligibility criterion for B.Sc Biotechnology is a passing grade in Xth and XIIth with Physics, Biology, and Chemistry as core courses, with a minimum of 50% overall (45% for SC/ST students) and 60% in each core subject.
So it's better to maintain at least moderate score to avail the additional features provided by the college management.

You can get admission in B.Sc. Biotechnology if you done 10+2 from Science stream with the 50% marks. Mostly college grant admission on the merit base of 10+2 but some colleges offer admission of on the bases of such entrance exam as DUET KITEEE, KCET etc.

If you wish to do Masters I. e. M.Sc. After graduation, then you should go for B.Sc. Else, join B.Tech Biotech.
