It doesn't matter. You just have to get a B.Sc. And then crack a proper M.Sc. Entrance like IIT JAM. Honestly, I would suggest you to go for a core B.Sc. In Chem, Bot, and Zoo rather doing it in Biotechnology. Good luck.

The eligibility requires 10+2 pass certificate with a minimum of 50% aggregate having any three main subjects out of physics/ chemistry/ maths/ biology/ computer science. If you studies 12th with science stream, that is, PCM or PCB, then you are eligible for B.Sc in biotechnology.
