Admission to M.Tech in Polymer, Materials Science & Technology and Microelectronics and ME programme is done on the basis of CET PG conducted by the university. Admission to M.Tech in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology and Instrumentation is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. Students who have passed Master's Degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks (50% for the reserved category) are considered eligible to join M.Phil. And Ph.D. course. Admission to MS is done on the basis of NEET MS entrance examination. For M.A. candidate must pass Bachelor's degree

Eligibility varies from university to university. Also, these days universities are offer B.Tech in Biotech, which is better than B.Sc as it is a professional degree whereas B.Sc is just a general degree. Many good private universities like VIT, LPU, SRM, etc. are offering admissions in B.Tech. These private universities offer admission on the basis of tests like JEE and their own tests. Some offer you direct admission too on the basis of your marks in previous qualifying exam. All these are world-class universities with modern infrastructure and good placements.
