B.Sc. Eligibility

For admission into the B.Sc. in Agriculture Business Management at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Agriculture Business Management, Akurdi, the basic eligibility criteria are as follows: - The candidate should be a Science graduates having passed 10+2 (HSC) or its equivalent with physics, chemistry, and biology/mathematics as the subject. - With reference to the eligibility criteria, it is expected that the candidates should secure at least a pass in the qualifying exam i.e., about 50-55%. - It may be merit based or based on the student’s participation in entrance test such as the Maharashtra Common Entrance test (MHT-CET) which is often used in agricultural courses in this state.

Candidates who possess the following qualifications are eligible to seek admission.A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the University or Board of Intermediate Education with the following subjects namely:i) Physical Sciencesii) Biological or Natural SciencesCriteria for Selectiona. The seats under ICAR quota are filled by ICAR, based on the performance in the written examination AIEEA and the choice of the students through counselling.b. The selection of candidates for all the seats, except those reserved for I.C.A.R Quota and in-service candidates shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in the EAMCET in their respective local areas from out of the inter-se merit lists prepared for this purpose. The candidates will be selected based on merit, Presidential order, region and social status.c. In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the EAMCET, the age shall be taken into consideration and the older candidate shall be given the seat. In case of tie both in the ranks and age, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the Qualifying examination shall be taken into consideration.

In general, for the B.Sc. programs at Assam Agricultural University, you have to satisfy the following, respectively.1. *Educational Qualification*: You shall have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognised board.2. *Subjects*: Science subjects taken at the Senior School Certificate level, normally including Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agriculture/Mathematics.3. *Minimum Marks*: You should have a minimum percentage in your 10+2 exams, which is usually around 50-55%, although that depends on the courses and categories.4. *Entrance Test*: You may be required to appear for the entrance test conducted by the university or a relevant state/national level exam.Note: These are the general requirements, and some variation may occur in the exact criteria depending on the programme or year.

Admissions are based on counseling and eligibility criteria by the individual Programs.
