B.Sc in Geology, Fergusson College also is one of the premier institute in the field of Science in Pune. Traditionally the college set a high cutoff percentage to join this program. The percentage of cutoff was around 95.60 % for the students passing through the Maharashtra State Board for Bsc Geology for the academic year 2022 - 2023. If you are from the PUC Karnataka board then your percentage system will be considered. The new B.Sc in Geology at Fergusson College has a varying cut-off but for the Science streams the cut-off percentage is 96.40/500. For applying to D Pharma, the candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology along with English as a medium of communication from any central or state education board with at least 55 % marks . Yes, many colleges also offer an option of Distance Education to pursue BSc Geology.This option is suitable for working professionals or for those who are studying some other course and also want to study BSc Geology as a side option.The eligibility criteria for this course is also similar- candidates should have minimum 55% marks in class 12th examinations with PCM or PCM as subjects along with English from a recognised board.There may be additional relaxation in marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories.The admission to these colleges is usually merit based, i.e., on the basis of marks scored in class 12th examinations.
