Choosing the best branch for a BSc programme at the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata depends on your interests, career goals, and academic preferences. Each branch of Science offers unique opportunities and specializations. A few (4) of my seniors were placed in Dr. Reddy's lab with salaries around 9 lpa. It is a Science institute and a newly made placement cell. (because most of the students opt for higher education after the completion of their studies )Some students also go for government jobs. But as the institute has signed some MoU s with well established foreign institutes (with jku Austria, UDE in Germany, university of Pennsylvania in USA, RWTH Aachen in Germany to name a few) and the high standings in global rankings (placed 48th in young institutes contributing to quality research world-wide by nature, 2019). These factors contribute to a good enough background for a future PhD or MS in other countries. B.Sc in biological sciences is a top course in IISER Kolkata and has a better placement, having average package 7 LPA and higher package is approximately 14 to 15 LPA. 

Reputable centres for Science research and education in India are Presidency University, Kolkata and IISER Kolkata.A five-year integrated B.Sc. (Hons.) programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences is available from IISER Kolkata . Every branch offers special research opportunities and a distinct curriculum. Your interests and professional objectives will determine which branch is best for you. A three-year B.Sc. (Hons.) programme in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, and Geology is available at Presidency University in Kolkata . Below are the steps to GNIHM admission to BSc programme:Step 1: GNIHM Kolkata BSc Application Process 2024The mode of application is online. Candidates have to fill form and pay the application fee to register for admission.Step 2: SelectionThe institute will select candidates for BSc programme based on NCHMCT JEE score. National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT JEE) is a national-level hospitality entrance exam for admission in a BSc course. The institute also offers direct admission to limited seats based on academic qualifications.Step 3: Admission ConfirmationSelected candidates as per the minimum eligibility criteria & NCHMCT JEE score will have to submit the admission fee to confirm their seat for the relevant course. The shortlisted aspirants are further called up for verification of the documents 

IISER does not provide BSc course. It offers BSMS course. BSMS offers candidates a Bachelor's degree in Science (BS) and a Master's degree in Science (MS). These BS and MS courses are different from BSc course as they focus more on research aspects.IISER kolkata BS and MS course rated 3.5 out of 5 by verified student while IISER mohali in same course rated 4.3 out of 5 by 35 students. Total fees for the BS /MS dual degree program in IISER Kolkata is INR 3.27 lakh for 5 years while in IISER Mohali it is INR 1.62 Lakh for 5 years. The infrastucture rating by the students from IISER kolkata is 3.9 and from the students of IISER Mohali is 4.3.
