Hi,
First of all, I would make it very clear that there is no quota as such for any stream or student for UPSC exam. The only reservations available are with regard to general regulations, as per constitution. Next is up to you. You may take any stream of your choice. What you need to focus is to know the subject better to keep it as an optional paper. For that purpose, even Maths is a good option. You may go ahead with Maths, and keep it as optional subject.

Admissions Procedure
Application forms for admission for the academic year 2018-2019 are available ONLINE for PG Programmes & UG Programmes on 1st March 2018. Applications are accepted only through online. Fees for application to be paid through the Payment Gateway (Online Payment)
Application fee for UG Programmes: Rs. 500/ and PG Programmes: Rs. 700/
Fees should be paid on the day of the interview. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Students have to study the language (Second language) studied at the last qualifying examination. A soft copy of the applicants recent passport size photo and signature is mandatory

It depends from college to college in DU. Top colleges of DU will require high percentage in class 12th around 96%. Minimum percentage one should get for admission in B.Sc Maths is 93%.

Yes, sure. For B.Sc mathematics, one must have PCM as a main stream and any one other optional subject. The candidate should have qualified the 12 exam with 60% minimum to be eligible for the admission. Now, many colleges take admission direct in the basis of 12 or few colleges take admission by the entrance exam they conduct.
