I don't think so. In order to join MCA, a candidate need not necessarily be from BCA. In order to join MCA candidate must have maths in +2 as one of the subjects. You may feel some problem with programming language.

The approximate percentage required for B.Sc hons in statistics for DU is 90 to 95 percent to get a good college in DU. Also cut off varies from college to college. This cut-off may vary from year to year and college to college.

B. Sc Mathematics has good scope in future and also nowadays.
If your friend do M. Sc in Mathematics, it will be very scopeful for her life.
B. Sc Mathematics is applied for teaching job in schools and tuitions.
She can also apply in software developing companies. Because now a days Mathematics is used in software developing programs.
She can apply for UPSE exam.

I think after B.Sc maths, you can go for M.Sc in Maths, MCA or MBA based on your interest and career prospect.

You are eligible to appear in Civil Services examination conducted by UPSC based on your degree to join IPS. Civil Services Examination is very competitive. In order to get IPS cadre you will have to score very high in examination and personal interview.

There are plenty of opportunities are available after BSc mathematics. You can go for either job or higher studies or both together.
