Both are vast fields. The choice mainly depends on which college are you going and your interest. Never run after money. Run after your dreams and interest. You will definitely get a good placement.

For general category, fee for B.Sc is 7000 and for the hostel, its 10000 for a year including all the funds of a year. After that, its 560 per month except for diet. Check online fee structure of PU and hostel brochure.

In St. Xavier's College, Calcutta, we have a placement cell where students can register themselves. Many companies come to our college for recruitment, registered students get notifications according to their stream & subjects. Then one can give exam(if there any) & interview.
