Most of the job prospects for forensic scientists are in government sector, particularly in various law enforcement agencies such as police, legal system, the investigative services of the central government and state governments. However, some private agencies too offer job opportunities to those who have some qualification in the field. A major chunk of trained forensic scientists are hired by the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), etc. Another interesting career, rather the most attractive option for forensic scientists is teaching in institutes which impart education in forensic Science.

In a broad sense, three options are available:
Option 1)
Let's say, you still want to stay in Biotech area: In that case, I would highly recommend going for M.Sc. or Ph.D. Now within this area, you may want to work in academia or industry. Based on your preference/goal, you can pick internships strategically and then get to where you want. Option 2)
Say, you want to do an MBA: You could do it abroad or India. In India, if you do your MBA from good business schools such as IIM/ISBs etc. , then your future is bright. But before that, get at least 2 years relevant work experience, even if it means low pay. It could be in a clinical lab, bi

Hi Kanika, Jobs for aspirants within the public sector are quite ample. There are many firms that are under the aegis of the Indian government that offer aspirants with jobs of high profiles. With the right qualification, a person can get employed as an Agricultural Research Scientist (ARS). Upon clearing the NET qualification, aspirants can start their career as a lecturer. Besides this, jobs are also available for aspirants as Block Development Officers (BDO) or Agriculture Development Officers (ADO). To get this job, it will be needed by applicants to write an admission test.

Hello, It's difficult to describe about that as you have not mentioned about the discipline in graduation. Although there are less opportunities after just Bachelor degree but if you have opted to do M.Sc. Then, there will be more scope and chances to get good opportunities in this field. Or if you chose to do MBA (specialised) then it will more grooming to your career. Best of luck.
